As of September 1, 2008 the Austrian Trade Commission Chicago is looking for a PROJECT MANAGER
Mainly responsible for the machinery, metals and metals processing sectors, must however be ready to take on other projects
The Austrian Trade Commission Chicago is a service office of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber for Austrian companies. We support these companies with their U.S. market activities and create interest in the U.S. market by disseminating information and organizing events in Austria and the U.S.
The Project Manager is responsible for the machinery, metals and metals processing sectors. He or she will independently research information for inquiries from Austrian companies, organize participation at trade shows and prepare individual or group trips to the U.S. for Austrian companies. He or she will keep in contact with the most important Austrian and U.S. organizations in his/her fields. He/she will actively follow both the Austrian and U.S. sectors and publish trends in the form of short articles and in publications. Our office is small (7 people), so our ideal candidate must also be flexible in assuming other duties and to fit in with the team.
Requirements:
- Completed school education with Austrian Matura or equivalent
- Very good knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken
- Very good knowledge of a PC (Microsoft Office)
- Professional appearance, very good behavior and manners, intercultural capabilities
- Ability to work in a team
- Office experience
